Herbs for Hemorrhoids

Postby jen4you on Mon May 19, 2008 1:03 pm

Some of you mentioned butcher's broom, bilberry, and horse chestnut as healing for hemorrhoids. However, I don't know if he means that one should take all of them or any one of them. Does anyone have any idea?

You may try them all. They all contain bioflavanoid. Bioflavanoid are proven to improve hemorrhoids.
I personally use calmovil that has like 10 of these herbs. It's much better than buying all of these separately. It really helped me when I had a flairup last time. Now everytime I feel a little itch I start taking it and it goes away fast. here's the link, look at the ingredients Calmovil Bioflavonoids

here is a great list of herbs used to treat and eliminate hemorrhoids: taken with permission from http://www.hemroidharry.com/ingredients.html

Witch Hazel -- contains procyanadins, resin, and flavonoids, which help it work as a soothing, anti-inflammatory agent that relieves hemorrhoid pain.

White Oak Bark - the active ingredients are tannin and quercin. Quercin is similar in effect to salicin (natural aspirin) and is used along with bioflavinoids to strengthen the capillaries and veins. White oak bark also contains ample amounts of calcium, manganese, potassium and magnesium. It is particularly good for stopping internal bleeding.

Butcher's Broom Root-- has been known for 2,000 years for its healing properties, especially for its benefits to the circulatory system. Recent tests by German and French doctors indicated that butcher's broom root lessens post-operative thrombosis; and also showed definite and measurable relief for hemorrhoid and varicose vein sufferers.

Stone Root -- is used to reduce back pressure in the veins, which in turn helps prevent the formation or worsening of hemorrhoids and varicose veins.

Ginger -- extracts have been shown to have both antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects on cells. We use it for its ability to improve blood circulation and naturally cleanse the body.

Cayenne -- has been used medicinally for thousands of years. There is no other herb which increases your blood flow faster than cayenne. When you have hemorrhoids, there's often a restriction of blood flow to that area. Blood flow is what takes nutrition and the healing properties of herbs to those cells. Blood flow is also what carries out and removes waste material.

If herbs dont work you might want to try the HemAway seat http://www.hemaway.com for prolapsed hemerrhoids.

You just place the seat on your toilet when your hemorrhoid is protruding, sit on it, and the hemorrhoid will retract into the body for instant relief form pain and discomfort.

Check out this video to see how it works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZLnWsqfFm4

It gives you quick relief in a few minutes without any side effects. Good luck!

Yes i agree with all of you, herbs can help cure hemorrhoids but thats not all you will need to cure them. Your diet has a lot to do with being able to cure hemorrhoids. Constipation or hard stool also cause them due to the added pressure from straining. Herbs do strengthen the blood vessels but you do need to eat properly and eat a healthy amount of fiber. You will also need to know what foods are bad for you that contribute to constipation . http://hemorrhoid-cure.weebly.com/

I guess you can try all three and see what's best for you. So later on you can stick to just one. The most important is to have a healthy diet rich in fiber.
